Gold-Silver Firm Continues Flow of Positive Exploration Results From Colombia

Outcrop Silver and Gold's most recent batch extended mineralization in the north part of Santa Ana and generated a new target in the project's southern end.

190 kilometers northwest of Bogota, in Colombia's Mariquita District, lies the Santa Ana gold project, which is currently operating in stages of advanced exploration. Its sibling Mallama, which lies in the immediate southwestern tip of the country, is a 9,036-hectare gold-silver project in Nariño, which is also an advanced project for the Canadian parent company.

That firm is none other than Outcrop Silver & Gold Corp. (OCG:TSX.V; OCGSF:OTCQX; MRG1:DE), which has been delivering impressive exploration and drill results from Santa Ana for months now.

"The 12 main vein zones ... create a current strike length of 17 kilometers."

And yet another set is positive, further expanding the company's historic Santa Ana high-grade silver district in Colombia.

So far, the Santa Ana project, comprising about 28,000 hectares (28,000 ha) in northern Tolima, is known to contain 12 main vein zones, each containing multiple parallel veins. Together, this network of veins creates a current strike length of 17 kilometers.

The veins can show both high-grade silver and high-grade gold mineralization, and mineralization, as determined via drilling, is present from or near surface down to at least 350 meters (350m).

New surface sampling and mapping results, including assays of up to 3,086 grams per ton silver equivalent, extend seven veins and their subparallel vein sets about 1,000m to the north of the northernmost discovery, El Dorado. In addition, prospecting yielded a new target, Maras, at the southern end of Santa Ana, about 1,000m south of San Antonio. Results are detailed in a news release.

"Outcrop is advancing four other projects in Colombia, all with world-class discovery potential."

San Antonio and El Dorado are among the six shoots at Santa Ana. The others are La Ivana, Megapozo, San Juan and Roberto Tovar. The shoots cumulatively comprise a potential resource area of about 1,500m long by 300m deep.

Along with Santa Ana, Vancouver-based Outcrop is advancing four other projects in Colombia, all with world-class discovery potential.

Mallama, which we discussed a bit earlier, is in a more advanced stage of exploration than the others, Antares and Oribella in Antioquia as well as Argelia. These projects round out the Outcrop Silver & Gold Corp. family, and Streetwise Reports will be following their stories closely.
