The results open up an additional area for further exploration at Aben Resources' Forrest Kerr.

Aben's Forrest Kerr Gold Project

In a news release, Aben Resources Ltd. (ABN:TSX.V; ABNAF:OTCQB) recapped and provided the results of the completed 2020 drill campaign at its Forrest Kerr project in British Columbia's Golden Triangle.

The program consisted of two holes for a total of 990 meters (990m), FK20-71 and FK20-72, that tested for extension of high-grade polymetallic mineralization on the west side of the Nelson Creek fault zone. Inclement weather forced Aben to suspend drilling of the rest of the planned 1,500 meters.

FK20-71, which tested the area on the west side of the fault zone, encountered multiple horizons of polymetallic mineralization. It showed a new mineralized zone of consistent grades at depth, down to 180m, and along strike, for 300m. The average gold grade in an area where the zones were relatively consistent was 0.46 grams per ton (0.46 g/t) over 37m. The highest gold grade was 3.45 g/t over 1m.

"This is significant as the Nelson Creek Fault was previously thought to cut off polymetallic mineralization west of the North Boundary high-grade zone," CEO Jim Pettit said in the release. "This definitely opens up the west side of the Boundary Valley for further exploration."

Hole FK20-72 tested for mineralization at the junction of the Nelson Creek Fault zone that runs north to south, and the Blind Fault that has a northeast-southwest orientation. It "encountered sporadic polymetallic mineralization adjacent to a strongly altered, fault-derived (mylonitic) rock package but failed to encounter the structurally offset high-grade mineralization present at the North Boundary main zone (180m northeast)," the release noted. One interval from about 350m below North Boundary returned average gold grades of 0.25 g/t.
