Newrange Gold provided an update regarding its plans for drilling at the Good Hope Mine area of its Pamlico project in Nevada.

In a news release, Vancouver-based Newrange Gold Corp. (NRG:TSX.V; NRGOF:OTC) announced that it has obtained all of the required permits and has begun construction work on the road and drill sites in order to "drill test high-grade gold mineralization" that it previously identified in the Good Hope Mine area of Pamlico Ridge in Nevada.

Newrange Gold stated that gold-silver mineralization at the Good Hope Mine was discovered in underground samples gathered between 5,718 to 5,570 feet above mean sea level. The firm said that the mineralization appears to be well exposed and shows good continuity and is open along strike. The company mentioned that the main gold-bearing strike takes a downward dip and "consists of an even higher-grade core ranging from 0.3 to 1.0 meter in width flanked by a lower grade halo up to 17 meters wide."

The company explained that "the Good Hope Mine area is an extension of the well-mineralized Pamlico Ridge." The firm noted that gold mineralization at Good Hope Mine has never undergone drilling, but is known to extend for 150 meters or more along strike and up to as much as 250 meters down-dip.

The company stated that after it finishes with construction of the road and drill sites it will immediately begin the drill program. The firm advised that it believes the site will be ready for drilling to start on or before November 1, 2020, and currently plans for a minimum of seven drill holes during the initial testing at this location.

The company noted that the Pamlico project is located in Mineral County, approximately 12 miles southeast of Hawthorne, Nevada. The project encompasses the Good Hope, Gold Bar, Sunset and Pamlico group of mines. "Discovered in 1884, the district rapidly gained a reputation as being one of Nevada's highest-grade districts. Held by private interests for most of its history, the property remains underexplored in terms of modern exploration," the company stated.
