Newrange Gold reported it drilled 14.85 g/t Au over 9.15 meters including one segment which registered 34.11 g/t Au over 3.05 meters at its Pamlico project in Nevada.

In a news release, Vancouver-based Newrange Gold Corp. (NRG:TSX.V; NRGOF:OTC) announced drill results from the Merritt Zone at its Pamlico Project located near Hawthorne, Nevada.

The firm stated that "hole P20-82 in the Merritt Zone intersected near surface oxide gold mineralization averaging 14.85 g/t Au and 3.57 g/t Ag over a 9.15 meter interval from a depth starting at 53.35 meters and ending at 62.50 meters." Newrange Gold reported that a section of this zone recorded high-grade core measuring 34.11 g/t Au and 7.64 g/t Ag that lies within a larger 32.01 meter interval assaying 4.74 g/t Au and 2.25 g/t Ag.

The company reported results from some additional drilling activity and stated that "hole P20-82 intersected a shallower zone of mineralization averaging 1.10 g/t Au and 3.67 g/t Ag over 9.15 meters and a second hole, P20-83, expanded this oxide gold mineralization to the southeast with an intercept from 4.57 to 10.67 meters averaging 0.484 g/t Au and 4.57 g/t Ag. "

The firm noted that it is currently expanding the drill pattern both in this area and throughout the property. Newrange Gold stated that it plans to revisit stepouts on hole P17-10, where during its 2017 drill program, it stood out as the highest grade hole that contained multiple high-grade intercepts, including 6.1 meters averaging 97.94 g/t Au.

The company stated that it will begin building roads in the near future in order to commence drill testing at the upper Good Hope Mine. Newrange commented that, as it announced in May, underground channel sampling identified high-grade results in the 5690 level of the mine, including 40 meters averaging 13.89 g/t Au and 71.19 g/t Ag.

The company stated that the Pamlico project covers the historical Pamlico group of mines and the nearby Good Hope, Gold Bar and Sunset mines. The property is located about 12 miles southeast of Hawthorne, Nevada.
