In a news release, Cabral Gold Inc. (CBR:TSX.V; CBGZF:OTCBB) announced channel sampling results for its Jerimum North target located in the Tapajós Region's Cuiú Cuiú gold district within the state of Pará in northern Brazil.

The company highlighted that at the Jerimum North target one recent surface channel sample returned 5.3 m of 24.0 g/t Au. The firm noted that the Jerimum North target is situated 4 km northeast of the MG deposit and 3.7 km northeast of the Machichie SW target where high-grade veins have been discovered recently.

The firm stated that Jerimum North mineralization is confined to a northeast-trending quartz-pyrite vein system that has never been subjected to drilling. The company reported that surface grab samples in the area recorded values of 966.2 g/t, 331.7 g/t and 55.4 g/t gold occur 130 meters to the northeast and may be related to the same structure. Due to these findings, the firm believes that a pronounced northeast trend is evident within the regional magnetic data, which supports the potential for another major northeast trending vein system.

Cabral Gold's CEO Alan Carter stated, "The identification of yet another new N.E.-trending, high-grade vein structure, this time at the Jerimum North target, highlights the increasing importance of N.E. trending veins as hosts to high-grade gold mineralization within the Cuiú Cuiú gold district. This new vein has never been drill-tested, and like the recently announced N.E. trending veins at Machichie SW, will undergo further surface exploration aimed at establishing along strike continuity prior to drilling."

The company stated that at one time, the Jerimum North target area was the richest in terms of historical placer gold production within the Cuiú Cuiú district, although the exact source of the gold was undetermined.

Cabral Gold advised that it will be conducting some additional surface and auger sampling to evaluate the continuity of the vein structure along strike and based upon the findings it will make a decision whether it will add this target to its current drill program.
