Liberty Gold reports it drilled its fourth best single intercept at the Black Pine project.

Three Liberty Gold Black Pine Discoveries

Liberty Gold Corp. (LGD:TSX; LGDTF:OTCQB) announced in a news release that additional reverse circulation drilling at its Black Pine project in Idaho expanded the D-3 and D-1 Southeast Extension zones and discovered high-grade gold in the F zone.

"We continue to deliver on our commitment to test new targets throughout the 7.3 square kilometer permitted portion of the Black Pine gold system, and this approach continues to yield new discoveries and outstanding results," President and CEO Cal Everett said in the release.

The Vancouver-based explorer reviewed the latest drill results.

Black Pine's high-grade oxide gold D-3 zone showed thick intervals of oxide gold mineralization.

Hole LBP152, for instance, returned 1.44 grams per ton Au (1.44 g/t gold) over 96 meters (96m), including 1.95 g/t Au over 32m and 1.86 g/t Au over 29m, confirming the zone's potential to host greater than 1 g/t gold intervals.

"At 138.2 gram meters, the highlight intercept in LBP152 represents the fourth best single intercept drilled to date at Black Pine by Liberty Gold," the release noted.

D-3 now measures 250m wide and 400m long and remains open in all directions.

The D-1 Southeast Extension zone also returned high-grade intercepts, the company noted. Hole LBP150, drilled in the gap between the historical B and Tallman pits, showed 3.04 g/t Au over 19.8m, including 8.54 g/t Au over 4.6m. Drilling extended D1 another 0.6 kilometers (0.6 km) to the southeast. The zone now measures 1,750m in length and 150–200m in width.

As for the new F zone, the south end of it that is located 1 km from D-3 was targeted by hole LBP149. It demonstrated 2.21 g/t Au over 22.9m, including 7.42 g/t Au over 4.6m.

Liberty Gold noted it will drill test the F Zone further to define its orientation and determine if it connects to D-3. At the same time, the company will continue infill and stepout drilling at D-3 and D-1.

Of the nine targets comprising its 2020 program, Liberty Gold so far has drilled three, from which it made the D-3, D-1 Southeast Extension and F discoveries.
