In a news release, TraceSafe Inc. (TSF:CSE) announced the introduction of its IMSafe Gateway. The firm reported that "the IMSafe Gateway is a GPS and LTE-enabled device that can replace the need to pair mobile phones in both Tracesafe's iMSafe and AllSafe products." The company explained that its products require an internet connection that pairs a user's smartphone to its Tracesafe wristband. The firm indicated that a key feature of the new TraceSafe IMSafe Gateway is that it completely eliminates the need for a smartphone by directly pairing the wristband to the Gateway.
The company advised that gateway deployments dramatically streamline user interactions and provide clean end-to-end solutions as the user simply plugs into the Gateway and the wristband is already synchronized. There is no requirement to download an app or for the user to initiate Bluetooth pairing.
TraceSafe anticipates that adoption will accelerate particularly in areas where privacy and security concerns are strong, as well as where senior citizens or very young users may be involved.
The firm noted that its Gateway technology operates independently from the mobile phone while most quarantine wristbands rely on mobile phones for GPS for location and connectivity to the internet. The company indicated that the TraceSafe's Gateway device combines LTE service and GPS to interface with the full features of the IMSafe platform and enhances privacy protection by working without the use of a mobile phone.
Tracesafe Technologies' CEO Dennis Kwan commented, "We continue to innovate so that our products can help everyone in need, regardless of access to technology. There are other applications delivering app based functionality but we believe there are none outside of TraceSafe offering as complete a solution that can cover entire populations. Our solutions are designed to provide users with security, ease of use and scale all at once."
