Metallic Minerals defines and refines targets at the Yukon project.

Metallic Minerals Corp. (MMG:TSX.V; MMNGF:OTCMKTS) announced in a news release the results of recent exploration work at the Formo, Silver Queen and Duncan Creek targets at its Keno silver project in the Yukon's Keno Hill district.

At Formo, via underground sampling, the company identified three high-grade mineralized shoots returning an average grade of 1,000-plus grams per ton (1,000-plus g/t) silver equivalent (Ag eq). The shoots remain open.

Also at Formo, the Vancouver-based firm also identified two high-grade mineralized shoots next to one another on the 2600 level, which are open laterally and to depth. A highlight intercept at that level was 44 meters (44m) of an average 2,258 g/t Ag eq grade.

Grades from the 2800 level averaged 7,459 g/t Ag eq over a 45 meter lateral width. Those from the 2700 level averaged 1,795 g/t Ag eq over a 33 meter lateral width.

Further, along the main Formo structure, the growth-stage explorer defined two new surface target zones.

Regarding Silver Queen, Metallic Minerals refined two priority drill targets there that are near Alexco Resources' Silver King deposit and the Bermingham Trend.

"The Formo and Silver Queen advanced stage target areas occur along known productive structural corridors that host some of the largest deposits in the district and have the potential to quickly advance to the resource stage with additional drilling," President and CEO Greg Johnson said in the release. The company now has drill permits in hand for both targets.

At Duncan, which is earlier stage, the company reported it discovered two multikilometer soil anomalies on trend with projected structural corridors. To further refine targets at Duncan, the company plans to conduct more surface sampling, mapping and a detailed magnetic, low frequency geophysical survey.

Metallic Minerals intends to continue its exploration efforts at Keno, planning of which is currently in progress and funds for which the company has.
