AI Firm Teams Up with Super Long-Range Wi-Fi Provider to Offer Contactless Solutions for Tokyo Olympics

Loop Insights entered into an agreement with Sun Global Broadband to promote international tourism and public safety in Hawaii and to deliver contactless solutions for the 2021 Summer Olympic Games in Tokyo.

In a news release, artificial intelligence (AI) solutions provider Loop Insights Inc. (MTRX:TSX.V) announced that "it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding agreement with Sun Global Broadband (SGB), a global leader in Super Long-range Wi-Fi with mobility, and broadband communications to target international tourism and public safety in the State of Hawaii and for the 2021 Tokyo Olympic Summer Games."

Under the terms of the agreement, the two companies will partner to implement Loop products in SGB's current and future Hawaiian projects. The initial project areas for collaboration will include smart city, hospitality, food and beverage, convenience and retail applications. The report noted that Hawaii receives 9.4 million yearly visitors and that the tourism industry produces a $16.8 billion annual impact on the state's economy.

In addition, SGB has agreed to introduce Loop Insights to its various global partners and will seek to leverage their extensive network to deliver a fully integrated solution to numerous projects including introducing Loop to Japanese firms for business opportunities at the 2021 Summer Olympic Games.

Sun Global's CEO Edward Sun commented, "We are excited to bring the Loop technologies to our many projects. We are focused on delivering contactless solutionsóto bring confidence back into public places and expedite brick and mortar retail's recovery. We see this being a crucial part of many projects here in Hawaii, as well as with our partners in Japan. Loop Insight's Artificial Intelligence transaction platform integrates with SGB's Public Safety Fever-Check and Beach Safety Systems, Retail Eco-System, and Hospitality Systems for Hawaii."

Loop Insights' CEO Rob Anson remarked, "In addition to bringing incredible global connections, SGB offers world class Wi-Fi that is comparable to cellular reach of over one mile, and mobility for city drivingówe are excited to leverage each other's networks to offer an enhanced contactless solution to our clients, as they prepare for a successful reopening according to retail's 'new normal."

Sun Global Broadband is described as "a global leader in Super Wi-Fi and broadband communications." The company is headquartered in Honolulu, Hawaii, and stated that its mission is to build a wireless bridge between Asia and Hawaii. The firm is a member of the Wireless Broadband Alliance and is the U.S. partner of NTTBP for projects in Hawaii and Japan.

Loop Insights is based in Vancouver, Canada, and provides "transformative artificial intelligence (AI) solutions to level the playing field between brick and mortar retailers and their online competition." The firm advised that its products are designed to seamlessly interface with clients' existing legacy systems and that its technology aggregates online and on-premise data enabling real-time, data-driven marketing decisions for an enhanced customer experience.
