Black Tusk Resources has expanded the land package around its PG Highway Property's Palladium/Platinum Group Elements project to 20 claims covering 1,052.3 hectares.

In a news release, gold exploration company Black Tusk Resources Inc. (TUSK:CSE; BTKRF:OTCMKTS; 0NB:FSE) announced that "after recently completing all data compilation, Black Tusk management team has decided to increase the land package around the PG Highway Property in Abitibi, Quebec."

The firm stated that it staked out 8 new claims totaling 400.5 hectares adjacent to its original claims. The company explained that the PG Highway Property is located 22 km north of Val d'Or, Qué. and that once the new claims are confirmed, the land package will total 1,052.3 hectares over 20 separate claims.

The company stated that as it previously reported in April, the PG Highway Property adjoins claims that cover the Lynx and La Tour PGE mineral showings. The firm advised that select samples from Lynx returned grades up to 1,895 ppb combined platinum (Pt) and palladium (Pd) and samples from La Tour returned up to 5,139 ppb Pd and 1589 ppb Pt.

The firm noted that it also owns a second palladium/PGE property in Quebec know as the Lorrain Project which covers the Guimond-Church deposit. The company pointed out that this area was originally explored for copper, but has recently been recognized for palladium/platinum group elements. Black Tusk stated that it is continuing to gather data necessary to proceed with future exploration and that data compilation with GIS utilization is expected to be wrapped up soon for the Lorrain Project.

Black Tusk Resources is a gold exploration and development company based in Vancouver that concentrates on mining regions throughout Canada. The company owns a 100% interest in five separate mining properties with the bulk of its efforts centered on operations in Quebec's prolific Abitibi Greenstone belt.
