Black Tusk Resources Inc. (TUSK:CSE; BTKRF:OTCMKTS; 0NB:FSE) acquired through staking two platinum group element (PGE) properties in Quebec, it announced in a news release.
The Vancouver-based company bought the assets "in response to a world shortage as well as recent record-setting prices of rhodium, platinum and palladium," CEO Richard Penn said in the release. "Virtually all electronics, including cell phones and computers, contain PGE in their circuitry as well as all automobile catalytic converters. Black Tusk is excited to start exploring these two new projects."
Now, Black Tusk owns five mining projects with potential for gold and/or palladium and platinum mineralization.
One of the two properties is PG Highway, situated along Highway 397, about 22 kilometers north of Val d'Or. It consists of 11 claims totaling 601.11 hectares.
The second newly acquired property is Lorrain, located on Highway 391 about 1 kilometer south of Lorrainville. It consists of eight claims totaling 466.67 hectares. Covering the Guimond-Church deposit, Lorrain is surrounded by various styles of mineralization. Whereas many of those were previously explored for copper, they recently have been noted to contain PGEs.
The next step for these two new, easily accessible PGE properties is for Black Tusk to compile any and all available data and conduct geographic information system plotting on them to plan future exploration.[NLINSERT]
