In a news release, ParcelPal Technology Inc. (PKG:CSE; PTNYF:OTCQB; PT0:FSE) announced new partnerships with two companies in Canada's legal cannabis sector.
One, Vancouver-based ParcelPal signed an agreement with Agro Greens to deliver medical cannabis for it, starting in Saskatchewan and then expanding to Alberta.
Also, ParcelPal started an initiative with Shelter. With Shelter's new medical cannabis e-commerce platform called Shelter Market, patients can order products from that online marketplace, and then ParcelPal will deliver them to the location the buyer specifies. The delivery company's technology platform allows those customers to track their orders in real time.
"The legal cannabis space continues to serve as a sector filled with significant growth potential for ParcelPal. 2019 was a difficult year for the cannabis sector, however, management believes that continuing with our legal cannabis delivery platform at the ideal time as legislation across the country continues to expand the addressable cannabis marketplace. We are excited to launch this new initiative with Shelter and continue our growth within the cannabis sector," ParcelPal's President and CEO Kelly Abbott said in the release.
