Solar Energy Firm Signs Five New Contracts

UGE International's new projects span three countries.

In a news release, UGE International Ltd. (UGE:TSX.V; UGEID:OTCQB) announced it signed five new contracts for projects in the U.S., Philippines and Canada.

The commercial and community solar energy solutions company agreed to install a 100 kilowatt (100 kW) system on the roof of a storage facility in Holbrook, New York for Wildflower, with which it already has a relationship. The building owner will finance the project.

Also in the U.S., another UGE division, UGE Consulting Services, signed an agreement to finish the engineering of a commercial solar project for a large developer in the Southwest.

Another of UGE's new contracts is with the Cebu Institute of Technology in the Philippines for a 97 kW solar energy system for its high school building in Cebu City. Also in that country, UGE will install a 200 kW project for Lite Properties Inc. UGE will finance both of these projects.

Finally, UGE Consulting agreed to complete the engineering work for a rooftop system in Ontario, Canada, for Wattsavers, which will boost the capacity of existing system to 350 kW from 218 kW to. "This will be UGE's first 'repower' project in Ontario, a market it expects to see grow in the upcoming quarters," the release noted.

UGE stated that it plans to complete all of this work this year.
