The producer continues to work while awaiting a ruling from President Trump.

Western Uranium & Vanadium Corp. (WUC:CSE; WSTRF:OTCQX) announced in a news release it is maintaining active mining status as defined with the work it is doing at its Sunday Mine Complex Uranium/Vanadium Project.

Since summer 2019, the Colorado company has been mining and stockpiling ore underground at the Sunday Mines Complex. Soon, it will move that ore to the pads now being constructed. Then in March, it will resume mining and stockpiling ore at Sunday.

The mining permits for Sunday are set for re-evaluation by the Colorado Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety on a date in late March.

Also, Western Uranium noted in the release that Wyoming Governor Mark Gordon indicated President Trump will soon announce his decision and plan regarding the uranium mining industry in U.S. Trump may opt for the federal government to purchase uranium for its own stockpile. If he does, Western Uranium, with its own stockpile, is prepared to be the first U.S. producer to supply it.
