Regional geology, mineral showings, historical drill results and magnetic survey results are among the information obtained.

Black Tusk Resources Inc. (TUSK:CSE; BTKRF:OTCMKTS; 0NB:FSE) completed compiling preliminary data on the McKenzie East project north of Val d'Or, Quebec, it announced in a news release.

The company retrieved the information from various public sources like Mineral Titles–GESTIM and the Geological Information System (SIGEOM). The data obtained included area geology, mineral showings, drill hole locations and results, regional airborne magnetic survey results and reports on nearby companies.

The information revealed that the geologic trend across the McKenzie East project area runs northwest to southeast. Further, "the property is dominated by intrusive rocks regionally mapped as Archean quartz diorite, granodiorite and tonalite," the release noted. "Volcanoclastic rocks of andesite to rhyolite composition" underlie the property's northeast section.

As for previous drilling and results, data from the SIGEOM database indicated that nine holes were drilled in land included in the McKenzie East claims. Assays showed a range of grades from 0.1–2.2 grams per ton (0.1–2.2 g/t) gold and intercepts of 0.3–1.8 meters' downhole width.

Magnetic survey results suggested a link between magnetic response and the presence of mineralization. The Tilt Angle Magnetic map showed possible structures that parallel and cross the general geologic system at the property.

Regarding nearby projects, Monarch Gold's McKenzie Break is the most advanced. It has an estimated pit-constrained Indicated resource of 939,860 metric tons at a grade of 1.59 g/t. The underground Indicated resource there is 281,739 tons at 5.9 g/t Indicated and 270,103 tons at 5.66 g/t Inferred.

Black Tusk intends to continue analyzing the collected data to devise an exploration plan for McKenzie East.
