Skyharbour Resources Ltd. (SYH:TSX.V; SYHBF:OTCQB) announced in a news release that option partner Orano Canada intends to conduct a winter 2020 exploration program at the Preston uranium project in the Athabasca Basin. Orano has an option to acquire up to a 70% working interest in Preston.
The CA$735,000 campaign will consist of direct current resistivity ground geophysics on the JL and Canoe grids using historical geophysical lines and on the B conductive area east of Preston Lake using 15.9 kilometers of line cutting.
The aim behind this approach is to "further characterize the electromagnetic conductors by providing information about possible clay, silicification or associated alteration in the vicinity of conductors, adding another layer of information to prioritize areas to be drill tested," the release explained.
"The initial geophysics and ground program slated to start early in the new year will further advance the project and refine future drill targets," Skyharbour President and CEO Jordan Trimble said in the release.
"Skyharbour continues to execute on its key objectives by adding value to its project base in the Basin through ongoing mineral exploration at its flagship, high grade Moore Uranium Project with a planned 2,500 metre drill program planned in the new year while utilizing the prospect generator model to advance its other projects with strategic partners." Trimble added. "In addition to Orano's field program at Preston, Skyharbourís other partner Azincourt Energy is planning to carry out a 2,500 metre drill program at the East Preston project which collectively will provide ample news flow and catalysts in the near term."
