The agricultural market represents a tremendous opportunity for this firm's technology.

Eguana Technologies Inc. (EGT:TSX.V; EGTYF:OTCQB) announced in a news release it partnered with Ag Solar solutions to provide farms across the United States with intelligent energy storage systems for home and business.

Ag Solar is a subsidiary of Coastal Solar, a provider of solar power solutions to poultry farmers in Georgia. "Today, Ag Solar Solutions is focused on bringing their extensive know-how to farmers across America through a growing network of regional partners who have established networks within local agricultural markets," the release noted.

For Eguana, "the partnership with Coastal Solar opens the door to a new market and new opportunity in the U.S., one of the company's primary target markets," Eguana CEO Justin Holland said in the release.

Among the options on the market, Ag Solar chose Eguana's energy storage system because of its "expandability and modularity," and its attractive price structure. Additionally, Eguana's AC-coupled energy storage systems can be installed outdoors and are fully integrated, allowing for simple installation and boosting system availability," Coastal Solar CEO Clay Sikes said in the release.

The two companies aim to install more than 1 megawatt hours' worth of energy storage systems to U.S. farmers over the next 12 months.
