Meanwhile, elsewhere on the property, the Canadian company continues exploration.

Pretium's Brucejack Mine

Pretium Resources Inc. (PVG:TSX; PVG:NYSE) announced in a news release that the ramp-up at Brucejack is advancing on schedule.

The gold producer reported that it continues to accelerate underground development at a targeted 1,000 meters (1,000m) per month, a schedule likely to be maintained throughout 2019.

Additionally, alterations and upgrades being made to sustain processing at the increased rate of 3,800 tons per day are advancing on schedule. The bulk loading system is now installed and running as a fully integrated part of the concentrate process.

The company will continue to modify the flotation circuit as the final components become available.

Regarding exploration, Pretium added a third deep hole to its 2019 underground exploration program to follow up on the successful results it yielded. Observations from that hole, VU-2019, "continue to indicate that Brucejack-style mineralization extends at depth below the VOK," the release noted.

On its Bowser Claim Group, east of the Brucejack mine, Pretium's approximately 5,000m, 2019 grassroots exploration program is in progress. Two drills are testing the high-priority, volcanogenic massive sulphide targets on the northern and central parts of the property. A third drill, scheduled for mobilization to the site in mid-July, will test epithermal targets on the southern portion.
