With New Client, Canadian AR Firm Enters National Parks Market

This new project is to develop engaging, educational content for visitors, available throughout the attractions.

NexTech AR Solutions Corp. (NTAR:CSE; NEXCF:OTCQB) announced in a news release it was contracted by TruBLEND Learning to develop augmented reality (AR) experiences for the network of New York's Scenic Hudson.

The AR tech firm, with TruBLEND, will create AR-augmented educational content that will be placed at kiosks spaced throughout the 40 national parks in the network. Features at the kiosks will include totem poles exhibiting the local towns' history along with interactive holograms. To engage with those, visitors will need NexTech's mobile app and then can simply point their phone camera at the kiosks.

"By partnering with TruBLEND Learning, using our augmented reality technology platform, we're changing the way visitors engage with our outdoor spaces, which is huge," CEO Evan Gappelberg said in the release. "Interactive kiosks and holograms will serve as immersive learning experiences spaced throughout the park, providing a more engaging experience than ever before."
