SRG Graphite Inc. (SRG:TSX.V) completed and opened its metallurgical laboratory near the Lola graphite deposit in Guinea, West Africa, it announced in a news release.

According to the company, the metallurgical laboratory is equipped for basic graphite assaying via acid wash and the lost-on-ignition method. It contains a sample preparation facility, where procedures, including drying, crushing and pulverizing, can be done. The mineral processing component allows for scrubbing and milling, attrition milling, flotation, filtration and drying.

Various efforts will take place at the new building, including ongoing evaluation of the Lola deposit's graphite and small-scale graphite production for business development. Other activities to be conducted on site include training the local workforce and informing the region's communities about the project, the company noted.

The laboratory "will not only help the team complete the ongoing feasibility study, but it will also help us prepare for the next steps including construction, production and future business endeavors," Raphael Beaudoin, vice president of operations, metallurgy and process design, said in the release.

SRG used local vendors and construction companies entirely for the building and facilities, excluding the technical equipment.
