Developer of Weapons Detection Systems Partners with Cisco Systems

The collaboration should help advance the company's mission to help security personnel "deter, detect and defend."

To bolster the commercial launch and uptake of its PATSCAN concealed weapons detection system, Patriot One Technologies Inc. (PAT:TSX.V; PTOTF:OTCQX) is participating in Cisco Systems' innovation program.

The two companies are working collaboratively to engineer ways to integrate Patriot One's PATSCAN into Cisco's security and network offerings in terms of framework, installation and data management. One goal is to eventually jointly present to potential end-users a cohesive threat detection and security system featuring elements from both companies.

In addition, Patriot One will buy access to Cisco's global network, "potentially multiplying deployment of its PATSCAN family of threat detection solutions," noted a news release.

"Our company's vision is to create a world safer from acts of violence on our global citizens," Patriot One CEO and President Martin Cronin said in the release. "This partnership will play a key part in our mission to be the foremost proponent and provider of innovative threat detection and counter terrorism solutions and services for public safety."

Results of the partnership already are being seen. For example, last week, at the annual 2018 Cisco Connect Conference, Patriot One demonstrated PATSCAN to Cisco's largest clients and partners and will do the same in the future at Cisco's Global Partner Summits. These opportunities afford Patriot One access to the international marketplace.
