Mainland Ranks 6th in Gold Holdings

Gold reserves on the Chinese mainland were the sixth-highest among nations, regions and world organizations in September, according to a report from the World Gold Council released on Monday.

The Chinese mainland had 1,054.1 metric tons of gold holdings in September, accounting for 1.6 percent of the total value of its foreign reserves. Hong Kong held 2.1 tons of gold reserves and Taiwan 423.6 tons. . .View full article
