International Atomic Energy Agency Director General Yukiya Amano has accepted a French proposal to convene by year's end an international meeting designed to establish a rapid-response team for nuclear emergencies and an system to train nuclear plant operators in emergency management, French industry and energy minister Eric Besson said Tuesday.
Speaking to reporters in Vienna Monday, where he led the French delegation to the 55th IAEA General Conference, Besson said he met with Amano and ministers from other nations interested in nuclear power, all of whom supported the initiative. . .View Full Article
