Cambria Gold Mines Positions Premier Mill and Red Mountain for Production Growth in Strong Gold Market

Explore how Cambria Gold Mines is advancing infrastructure at its Red Mountain and Premier projects to unlock high-grade gold resources while analysts see significant upside potential.

The recent pullback in gold prices has created a timely entry point for investors focused on high-quality developers in established mining jurisdictions. Strong underlying fundamentals, including persistent inflation concerns and geopolitical tensions, continue to support an extended bull market in precious metals that could last several more years.

Why Cambria Gold Mines Stands Out in British Columbia's Golden Triangle

Cambria Gold Mines Inc. (CAMB:TSX.V; CAMVF:OTCQX) has moved quickly to connect its two core assets with a new transportation corridor that will allow the company to blend high-grade material from one deposit with bulk-tonnage ore from another. This infrastructure step positions the company to maximize throughput at an existing mill that already holds key permits and power access.

The Premier Gold Project offers paved road access, a mill capable of processing 2,500 tonnes per day, grid-connected hydroelectric power, and close proximity to a deep-water port. These features reduce both capital requirements and execution risk compared with remote greenfield developments. The overall land package includes the Premier, Silver Coin, Big Missouri, Dilworth, and Martha Ellen deposits.

Red Mountain, located roughly 15 kilometers northeast of Stewart, British Columbia, on Nisga'a Nation Treaty Lands, hosts a high-grade underground gold resource. The company began trading under its current name and ticker in mid-February after previously operating as Ascot Resources Ltd., according to a June 1 release.

Strategic Advantages of the Red Mountain Access Road Project

Construction has now begun on a 23-kilometer access road to transport mineralized material from Red Mountain to the Premier mill. The initial 13-kilometer segment follows an historic wagon trail first established in 1910 and later extended in 1994. Once complete, the total trucking distance will be approximately 50 kilometers along paved Highway 37A and the new road.

The company faces a four-month window to finalize permitting and engineering for the portion of the road that crosses indigenous territories. Because both Premier and Red Mountain sit on Nisga'a Nation Treaty Lands, strong relationships with local leadership are essential. President and CEO Rob McLeod has longstanding personal and professional ties to the Nisga'a Nation, which helps streamline consultation and decision-making processes.

McLeod has stated that the Nisga'a leadership supports the goal of bringing both projects into production. This level of trust accelerates permitting timelines and supports environmental planning that protects local waterways and wildlife. According to a piece by Shane Lasley for North of 60 Mining News on June 2, the first 13 kilometers are expected to be finished by the end of the 2026 construction season.

Resource Base and Mining Potential at Red Mountain

Red Mountain contains Measured and Indicated Resources of 3.19 million tonnes grading 7.63 grams per tonne gold and 21.02 grams per tonne silver, for 783,000 ounces of gold and 2,156,000 ounces of silver. Inferred Resources add another 405,000 tonnes at 5.32 grams per tonne gold and 7.33 grams per tonne silver, equating to 69,000 ounces of gold and 96,000 ounces of silver. A large portion of the gold sits in the Measured category at an average grade of 8.81 grams per tonne, and more than 2,000 meters of underground development already exist, reducing the need for extensive infill drilling.

The deposit is considered suitable for bulk underground mining methods such as longhole stoping. Management intends to blend approximately 75 percent high-grade Red Mountain mineralization with 25 percent bulk-tonnage material from Premier to keep the 2,500-tonne-per-day mill running at full capacity. An efficient transportation corridor is therefore a critical near-term catalyst.

Industry Timing, Environmental Planning, and Upcoming Catalysts

Resource upgrade drilling is underway at Premier-Northern Lights, Big Missouri, and Silver Coin. McLeod has indicated that an updated feasibility study incorporating all four deposits is on track for completion in the fourth quarter of 2026. According to a report by Jay Lutz for thedeepdive.ca on June 3, the company has also strengthened its U.S. team ahead of a potential spin-out of the Mt. Margaret copper-gold project in Washington State.

Environmental considerations remain central to the road project. The route runs near Bitter Creek, which supports a small population of Dolly Varden trout. Cambria is conducting a fish-offset program to improve salmon habitat in the Bear River Valley and has implemented a goat management plan that limits helicopter activity during birthing season. These measures, developed in close consultation with the Nisga'a Nation, help maintain social license while advancing construction.
