Matthew Kaplan is the managing director at Ladenburg Thalmann & Co. Inc, Research Division. He covers the biotechnology and life sciences sectors with a focus on therapeutic companies, cardiovascular and drug delivery. Kaplan's experience includes thirteen years as biotechnology analyst at PZ & Co, Evolution Capital, and The Carson Group. He has six years of research experience with the Albert Einstein College of Medicine/Montefiore Hospital Department of Cardiology. Mr. Kaplan is a co-author of numerous articles on gene regulation in the heart. He received a Bachelor of Science in biology from University of Michigan and cellular and molecular biology studies at Columbia.
