Scottie Resources Corp. advises that the target remains open in most directions.

In a news release, Scottie Resources Corp. (SCOT:TSX.V) reported drill results from its Scottie Gold Mine O-Zone target. The firm stated that it intersected 2.26 g/t gold and 6.53 g/t silver over 19.04 meters at the O-Zone target, which included a 2.77-meter high-grade segment containing 10.7 g/t gold and 31.2 g/t silver.

Scottie Resources advised that the Scottie Gold Mine is its flagship project located about 40 km north of Stewart, B.C. The company indicated that it drilled 7,040 meters in 46 holes at the Scottie Mine during 2020 and will continue to release additional data from that work through the end of February 2021. The firm noted that in 2020 it drilled four holes at the O-Zone target area and that the findings demonstrate that the high-grade zone remains open in most directions. Scottie said it plans to continue drilling work to expand the zone in 2021.

The company's CEO Bradley Rourke remarked, "Historically, the O-zone produced some of the highest-grade gold intercepts in and around the Scottie Gold Mine. Oriented parallel and only 100 meters to the north of the main producing vein, and being connected to the mine with existing tunnels, all combine to make this a prime exploration target. Our expansionary drilling around the target has shown that it remains open in most directions, and that the exceptional grades that it is known for are also continuous – confirmed by our intercept of 109.4 g/t gold over 2.53 meters earlier this year."

The company explained that the Scottie Gold Mine was actively operated from 1981 to 1985 and during the that time it produced 95,426 oz gold averaging 16.2 g/t from 183,147 processed tonnes of mineralization. The firm listed that the O-Zone contained some very high-grade intercepts previously returning 107 g/t gold over 4.18 meters. The company stated it expects to commence step out drilling in early July around the O-Zone to seek out high-grade ore shoots similar to those observed in the adjacent M-Zone as soon as the melting snowpack allows access.
