Goldcliff Resource Corp. reported it obtained rock sampling values as high as 359 g/t silver, verifying strong silver grades at its Ainsworth project in southern British Columbia.

In a news release, Vancouver-based Goldcliff Resource Corp. (GCN:TSX.V; GCFFF:OTCBB) reported that it had achieved rock sampling values as high as 359 g/t silver in the areas surrounding two historical workings at its Ainsworth silver project near Kaslo, British Columbia.

Goldcliff Resource's President George Sanders advised that the firm conducted a geochemical rock, soil, and drainage sediment sampling program at the beginning of October 2020. The company noted that at that time it collected a total of 38 rock samples and 18 lithic drainage samples (LDS) from Cedar Creek canyon area and the area around the old No. 1 and Silver Hoard mine workings and the land between the two historical mines.

The company pointed out that in the past the No. 1 mine was the largest volume silver producer in the Ainsworth camp and that B.C. Minfile records posted a recovered grade of 49.6 oz per ton silver. The firm added that records for the Silver Hoard mine returned a recorded grade of just over 101 oz per ton silver.

Goldcliff highlighted that at Silver Hoard, an outcrop sample yielded 359 g/t silver. The firm added that in the area west of the old No.1 mine a sample in a recently logged area returned 355 g/t silver along with 4.73% zinc. The company added that two other LDS gathered returned 825 g/t Ag and 498 g/t Ag with each showing highly anomalous base metal values.

The company noted that it is planning to carryout additional follow up work including, an airborne geophysical survey and additional prospecting in the spring. Goldcliff advised that it owns 100% of the Ainsworth silver project claims with no royalties or work commitments and indicated that the property is located about 120 kilometers from the Teck-Cominco smelter plant in Trail, B.C.
