Early results are delineating untested mineralization hotspots at Group Ten Metals' Montana asset.

In a news release, Group Ten Metals Inc. (PGE:TSX.V; PGEZF:OTCQB; 5D32:FSE) provided an update on the collaborative geological modeling and target delineating it is currently doing for its Stillwater West platinum group elements-nickel-copper project in Montana.

In these efforts, Vancouver-based Group Ten is working with GoldSpot Discoveries Inc., which applies artificial intelligence algorithms to collected data to boost the efficiency and success level of mineral exploration. Group Ten has numerous multiple general target areas over 25 kilometers at Stillwater West and a substantial database with which to work.

The objective is to identify areas of stronger mineralization to help Group Ten evaluate and prioritize targets for future drill testing. Already, helpful outcomes from the work are occurring. "Preliminary results are generating compelling drill targets that have not yet been tested," Group Ten President and CEO Michael Rowley said in the release.

"GoldSpot's "work, in tandem with our technical team’s extensive knowledge of the Stillwater Complex and similar layered mafic intrusions globally, has added to our ability to quickly and cost-effectively target 'Platreef-style' deposits, with zones of higher grade nickel and copper sulphide mineralization, tens to hundreds of meters thick, that are enriched in palladium, platinum, gold, rhodium, and cobalt," Rowley noted.

"Bringing our teams and tools together to examine such a prolific district and robust data set is helping to shape new interpretation and understanding of why mineralization occurs where it does and where we should focus exploration attention moving forward," GoldSpot CEO and President Denis Laviolette said in the release.

To date, GoldSpot, with the help of Group Ten geologists, integrated and modeled more than 12 "geologic, geochemical and geophysical data layers to quantify and differentiate mineralization suites, alteration assemblages and lithological groups within the magmatic layers of the Stillwater complex, with a focus on bulk-tonnage 'Platreef-style' deposits," the release explained.
