In a news release, ParcelPal Technology Inc. (PKG:CSE; PTNYF:OTCQB; PT0:FSE) announced it signed an agreement to deliver respiratory masks in Western Canada for O2 Canada.
Customers will be able to purchase O2 Canada's masks on its website or, in the coming weeks, through ParcelPal's platform, and get it delivered directly to them on the same day or on demand.
ParcelPal will begin distributing the respiratory product in Vancouver, British Columbia, and then expand into Calgary, Alberta.
The two companies expect the demand for O2 Canada's masks to continue to surge during the coronavirus pandemic. Already the medical device firm has experienced triple digit demand growth just over the past few weeks.
In other news, ParcelPal now requires its drivers and employees to wear masks in addition to taking other COVID-19 precautions.
"The safety and well-being of everyone who interacts with ParcelPal is always our priority," the company's president and CEO Kelly Abbott said in the release. "We are actively monitoring the coronavirus (COVID-19) situation and are taking steps to help keep our communities safe. We are delighted to be able to offer this product in this time of great need to consumers and potentially health care workers alike."
