Amex Exploration announced drill results from hole PE-20-144 that extend the High Grade Zone by an additional 210m at depth at its wholly owned Perron gold property in Northwestern Quebec.

In a news release, junior mining exploration company Amex Exploration Inc. (AMXTSX.V; AMXEF:OTCQX; MX0:FRA) announced "drill results from hole PE-20-144 on its 100% owned Perron gold property located in Northwestern Quebec." The firm indicated that it provides detailed drill data on its website and noted that "the drill results include intersections from the High Grade Zone (HGZ) of the Eastern Gold Zone (EGZ)."

The company's Executive Chairman Jacques Trottier, Ph.D., commented, "This was an aggressive exploration hole that extends the HGZ by another 210 meters down to a vertical depth of approximately 775 meters. This is very significant as it confirms the depth potential of the gold system and the high-grade nature of the mineralized body."

"We are currently wedging off hole 144 with the objective of confirming grade continuity between these large 200+ meter step out holes. With only four holes drilled into the eastern extension of the HGZ we have defined an additional 400 vertical meters of high-grade gold mineralization," added Trottier.

Amex Exploration is a junior mining exploration company based in Montreal that states that it "acquires, explores, and develops viable gold and base metal projects in mining-friendly Quebec and Ontario jurisdictions." The company advised that at present, "it is focused on its 100% owned Perron gold project located 110 kilometers north of Rouyn Noranda, Quebec, which consists of 116 contiguous claims covering 4,518 hectares."

The company pointed out that though a significant portion of the Perron gold project has not yet been explored, the property has already produced many significant high-grade gold discoveries at the Eastern Gold, Gratien Gold, Grey Cat and the Central Polymetallic Zones.

Amex reported that "it holds a portfolio of three other properties focused on gold and base metals in the Abitibi region of Quebec and Ontario."
