The collaboration will merge WebAR technology and an AR campaign creation platform.

NexTech AR Solutions Corp. (NTAR:CSE; NEXCF:OTCQB) announced in a news release it partnered with Poplar to provide augmented reality (AR) to major brands.

London, England-based Poplar is the "leading augmented reality creative platform that provides AR campaigns on-demand to top brands worldwide," including those in the areas of music, game publishing, beauty and luxury and consumer goods. Through its self-serve AR platform, Poplar enabled a community of developers and activations of major brands. Some of them are Sony Music, Disney, the British Broadcasting Corp., L'Oreal, eBay, Speedo and Red Bull.

David Ripert, CEO and cofounder of Poplar and ex-head of YouTube Spaces, EMEA, at Google, said, "There is no question that AR is the future of retail, with 75% of people saying they expect retailers to offer an AR experience. In fact, AR try-on experiences using 3D models provide a 11 times higher likelihood for customers to make a purchase. This is why we are so excited to be working with NexTech AR to bring this 3D visualization technology to all our customers."

"David has built Poplar into a leading AR company that has successfully launched a self-serve AR platform, created a community of developers and major brands activations. We are super excited to partner as it gives us the opportunity to get in front of and leverage the major brands that use Poplar's platform today," NexTech CEO Evan Gappelberg said in the release.

Via the collaboration, NexTech will make use of Poplar's self-serve AR campaign creation platform, and Poplar will capitalize on NexTech's WebAR technology, the release stated.

With the combined technologies, clients will be able to produce three-dimensional and AR campaigns at scale, through a mobile browser without an app, the company noted.
