All four are Carlin-type gold targets.

Nevada Exploration Inc. (NGE:TSX.V; NVDEF:OTCQB) announced in a news release a drill program for its South Grass Valley project in Nevada.

It will consist of a total of 23 reverse circulation (RC) holes drilled over 9,500 meters (9,500m) at the four, previously identified Carlin-type gold targets there. The company will test each target based on its geologic setting.

As for Water Canyon, boasting typical Carlin-type mineralization in host rocks, Nevada Exploration plans to drill five RC holes over 2,200m to test for the presence of ponding, anomalous gold and "related pathfinders within the hornfelsed host rocks close to the Grass Valley Stock," according to the release.

At Golden Gorge, the exploration firm will test for possible high-grade, oxide gold mineralization within the hornfelsed lower plate against the intrusion. Through a six-hole, 2,600m RC drill program, it aims specifically to determine the extent of the hornfelsed aureole on the intrusion's east flank and test it for mineralization. The company also will test the western extension of the altered breccias.

Waterfall appears to be set in "fracture-controlled mineralization within hornfelsed lower plate, emplaced along the folds," the release described. Nevada Exploration plans a seven-hole, 2,500m RC drill program there to determine the bedrock source of the gold observed in groundwater above and below the target.

At Freddie, the company will test the oxidized, silicified breccia-hosted gold mineralization via five RC holes over 2,200m. The purpose is to delineate the extent and controls of the silicification and to test for higher-grade mineralization in the up-plunge extension of the previously noted breccias.

"It is because of our big picture approach, acquiring district-scale information at every stage, that we have built the wide coverage of data and geologic context to have identified and now advance our four targets, each of which we believe has the potential to host a significant gold deposit," President James Buskard said in the release.
