With preparatory work there now finished, that mine area is ready for drilling.

Newrange Gold Corp. (NRG:TSX.V; NRGOF:OTC) announced in a news release that further underground sampling returned high gold and silver grades from the underground Good Hope mine, part of the company's Pamlico project in Nevada.

A total of 155 channel samples in the mine's connected, upper levels of 5710 and 5718 demonstrated a zone of mineralization that averages 12.88 grams per ton (12.88 g/t) gold and 27.06 g/t silver. The mineralization, whose average width is 0.4 meters (0.4m), is encased in a "broad 'halo' of mineralization," the release noted. The width of the halo ranges from 5–9.4m, and its gold grade is more moderate, averaging 3.81 g/t.

To date, all assays from the sampling program at Good Hope returned except for those for samples taken at the 5609 level, which are pending.

"With only a small number of assays pending, we are very pleased with the outcome of the underground work at the Good Hope Mine. . . With the underground workings surveyed and mineralized zones mapped and sampled, this area is effectively now drill ready," CEO Robert Archer said in the release.

The company is now conducting similar work at the adjacent Gold Bar mine.
