Ascot Resources Ltd. (AOT:TSX.V) announced in a news release it hit high-grade gold mineralization on drilling the Prew zone of its Premier gold project in British Columbia.
This was demonstrated in the results from 19 holes of drilling over 4,948 meters (4,948m). All holes encountered mineralized quartz breccias, and 12 returned intervals with gold grades surpassing 10 grams per ton (10 g/t).
Specific returned gold intercepts included 37.95 g/t over 5.03m (hole P19-2153), 8.14 g/t over 13.03m (hole P19-2156) and 8.39 g/t over 8.75m (hole P19-2151).
Ascot noted it will incorporate these high-grade results into an updated resource estimate, upgrading resources from the Inferred category to the Indicated.
"Impressive drill results such as these reinforce our confidence in the Premier deposit," President and CEO Derek White said in the release. "The high-grade nature of the mineralization confirms the quality of the Prew zone overall."
