Aben Resources Ltd. (ABN:TSX.V; ABNAF:OTCQB) announced in a news release that the 2019 drilling completed so far at Forrest Kerr "continues to provide encouraging visual indicators of significant alteration and mineralization immediately south of the North Boundary mineralized zone."
To date, nine holes over 4,000 meters (4,000m) were drilled at the 23,000 hectare property in British Columbia's Golden Triangle; results are pending. A total of 5,000m is planned, but the company states that it has funding in hand to increase the scope considerably.
One aim of the 2019 Forrest Kerr drill program to date was to confirm high-grade mineralization on the property, the presence of which was indicated by results from previous exploration work by Aben and former operators. As such, Aben, in its 2019 program, had the area that previously returned high-grade results drilled first.
Another goal was to identify any northward extension of the high-grade mineralized core at the North Boundary zone and look for potential links to historical, high-grade gold discoveries.
Current drilling, in a strongly leached and iron oxidized area 500m south of the main North Boundary mineralized zone, is testing for continuity of mineralization to provide better understanding of its nature and scope.
As for drilling done already this year at Aben's Justin project, all assays remain pending.
