The company finds this particular target increasingly compelling each time it drills.

Great Bear Resources Ltd. (GBR:TSX.V; GTBDF:OTC) announced in a news release new drill results from the Dixie Hinge and other zones at its Dixie gold project in Ontario's Red Lake District.

Generally, the 28-meter (28m) and 100m stepdown drill holes along the projected plunge and dip of two high-grade gold trends in the Dixie Hinge zone intersected identical types of high-grade mineralization. The Hinge zone showed potential for significant high-grade depth.

Specifically, hole DHZ-039 hit 3.7m of 28.37 grams per ton (28.37 g/t) gold including 0.5m of 200.25 g/t gold. "This is the deepest high-grade intercept in the Dixie Hinge zone to date," the release highlighted. Hole DHZ-033 intersected multiple high-grade, gold-containing veins.

"With 28m and 100m stepdowns continuing to hit high-grade gold mineralization, the Dixie Hinge zone discovery yields something exceedingly rare in our industry: The more Great Bear drills it, the more compelling the target becomes," President and CEO Chris Taylor said in the release.

In sum, 32 of the 51 holes Great Bear has drilled to date within the Dixie Hinge zone have hit intervals bearing gold with a greater than 15 g/t grade, according to the release.

As for the company's recent drilling in other gold zones, results indicate gold vein development appears to be centered to the west of Great Bear's original Hinge zone discovery and potentially at depth below the DMS and Dixie South Limb zone targets. Similar veins have been encountered along a sizable, deep-seated regional structure that spans about 20 kilometers.

Also, about 400m to the west of the Dixie Hinge, drilling intersected another gold zone similar in appearance to the Dixie Limb. "This is a promising new target that appears to overlie the western, downplunge projection of the Dixie Hinge zone vein swarm and has likely been mineralized by the same event," the release noted.
