RESAAS Services Inc. (RSS:TSX.V; RSASF:OTCQB) announced in a news release it signed an agreement with eCommission, which advances commissions to real estate agents in the United States.
With this arrangement, eCommission will provide advances to agents who refer business through the RESAAS platform and network of 460,000 agents worldwide. It will be the first time agent-to-agent referral fees qualify for advances. Only commissions on pending sales were eligible in the past.
In exchange, RESAAS will be compensated for all advances that spring from the partnership. Also, it will benefit from gathering any and all referral information, which are in great demand.
"The long term value of RESAAS is corner-stoned by the large amounts of unique real estate data we are securely collecting," RESAAS CEO Tom Rossiter said in the release.
For RESAAS agents, being able to advance their referral fees "is a tremendous benefit," eCommission CEO Sean Whaling said, also in the release. "It will give them greater control over the timing of when they get paid while creating a system to help each other stay informed as to the status of the referral, instantly solving two age-old industry problems."
