Stepout drilling intersected mineralization that remains open in the northern and southeastern parts of the company's property.

Gold Standard Ventures Corp. (GSV:TSX.V; GSV:NYSE) announced in a news release additional oxide gold results from 30 reverse circulation infill and stepout holes drilled in the Dark Star deposit of its Railroad-Pinion project in Nevada.

The purpose of these holes was to test new targets below the current Dark Star resource and test for extension of mineralization lateral to the existing resource.

The efforts yielded positive results. In the northern portion of Dark Star, two stepout holes confirmed the existence of extensions to the thick oxide mineralization zones identified last year. Mineralization remains open to the north and northwest.

Some of the highlight holes were DR19-15, which intersected 22.9 meters (22.9m) of 1.92 grams per ton (1.92 g/t) gold (Au), including 13.7m of 3.04 g/t Au, and DR19-26, which hit 51.8m of 1.07 g/t Au, including 16.8m of 2.58 g/t Au. These holes extended oxide mineralization approximately 50m north of previously reported hole DR18-110, which had also intersected mineralization.

In the southeastern portion of Dark Star, nine infill and stepout holes encountered thick oxide mineralization intervals that start at surface. Mineralization there also remains open but to the east and south. "Drill intercepts either confirm or exceed the current resource block model for grade and thickness," the release noted.

Three significant assays were 88.4m of 0.61 g/t Au (hole DR19-57); 54.9m of 0.85 g/t Au, including 13.7m of 2.06 g/t Au (hole DR19-58); and 39.6m of 1.25 g/t Au, including 15.2m of 2.02 g/t Au (hole DR19-65).

In the central portion of Dark Star, four infill holes showed that oxide mineralization along the northwest-striking Saddle fault is more continuous than modeled. As such, this area warrants further infill and stepout drilling.

With these 30 holes now having been reported, results are pending for the final three of the total 70 reverse circulation holes done as part of Dark Star's 2019 phase 1 drill program.
