NexTech AR Solutions Corp. (NTAR:CSE;NEXCF:OTC) announced in a news release it signed an agreement to equip Cannvas Medtech Inc.'s cannabis education vehicle with augmented reality (AR) components. Cannvas is a digital cannabis education and business technology company.
The collaboration will bring about public kiosks that provide free, "physician-backed" education and tools on the potential benefits of cannabis use, according to NexTech. The user experienced would be enhanced by augmented reality features, such as three-dimensional AR demos and "live AR holograms beaming in as experts," the release noted. These kiosks, which are to provide Cannvas.Me content, will be placed in popular retail spots across Canada to start.
Next, Cannvas Medtech hopes to connect the kiosks to certain health clinics and platforms, which would allow kiosk users the option of following up with one of the linked licensed medical practitioners.
The two tech companies also plan to work together to collect and analyze the data from the kiosks to learn how consumers interact with these information centers, to further optimize the users' experience.
