Cypress Development Corp. (CYP:TSX.V; CYDVF:OTCQB; C1Z1:FSE) announced in a news release it is progressing toward completion of the prefeasibility study (PFS), expected in Q1/19, for its Clayton Valley lithium project in Nevada.
The company is currently conducting metallurgical tests on the existing drill core samples, aiming to optimize leaching conditions. "As more material is obtained from infill drilling, tests will focus on composite samples of the individual clay units within the pit area and on larger composites representative of the PFS production schedule," noted the release.
As for the planned infill drill program, expected to launch in early 2019, Cypress prepared an application to alter its existing drilling permit. Drilling up to 1,500 meters will occur in the area identified as the higher-grade center of the deposit, between prior holes GCH-06 and DCH-10. The campaign, according to the release, "will provide information to upgrade resource categories, further define a production schedule for the PFS and provide additional material for further metallurgical tests."
Other PFS-related tasks in progress include preparing a plan of operations and launching environmental baseline studies.
